Любимая сцена

The next hall they’ve entered was so vast that Shyrras couldn’t help but feel like a boy who’s seen the adult world for the first time. Huge columns supported the dark cupola ceiling imitating the night sky. Looming arches went high, tier after tier, hidden in the shadows of the columns. Myriads of shining balls formed constellations that poured dim light. The floor was lower than in the corridors, and from all the four sides stairways led down.
The mirror water surface stretched before them. Wide marble stairs went deep below the water. Arnisia Labyrinth was drowned.
“How far are you really willing to go, Daro?” one of the archers asked, horrified.
Shyrras looked over. He’s lost half of his detachment. Several archers were heavily wounded. He has only got a few painful cuts. He stood there, leaning on his sword, looking at his warrior’s gloomy faces.
“We’re going back!”
