Khaoli laughed:

“Are you so lonely with yourself? Or do you love yourself so much, that you want to replicate yourself, but fail nonetheless?”

And she used to say: “Before you find the world within you, you won’t create another one like that. But how would you, if you are searching in a wrong place?”

D’hal created Soraen, woven of light, mistress of light.

“But where is the shadow?” Khaoli asked.

So He created the Shadow – Laaef. The darkest and the most bottomless.

“And what if you mix them together?” Khaoli asked.

Then D’hal created a Human. But Khaoli said: “Such a weak creature. Look, it’s barely breathing.”

“And what about you?” D’hal asked her then. “Are you able to create at least something? Or are you all talk?”

“Behold,” Khaoli said.

And she opened her white arms. And she called upon the force of Mirdaen, and air, and fire, and earth, and the sound of waterfalls, and the whisper of leaves, and the avalanche rumble. And she took it all in herself, drinking in all the might and purity of creation. And she shattered herself into tiny shards above the Endless woods. And then these shards, that were the very soul of air, breath of the world itself, rose.  And they became the Others.
