The Conception of the Book
In this work, I develop my theory of being, which first took shape in my consciousness in 2017.. I see its harmonious foundation in three hypostases — food, sex, and vanity; ideally, the vital forces are distributed among them roughly equally, about 33.33 percent each. Alongside this triad I introduce a figurative black hypostasis — the “self-destruction toggle,” which can switch on and undermine the striving for harmony.
I call the black hypostasis the fourth hypostasis of being, but not a fourth equal share of the harmonious formula of one hundred percent. It may be present in life from the very beginning or appear later as a self-destruction toggle threatening the three luminous hypostases. In this book I explore how the three vital forces sustain a person and how the black hypostasis can weaken them. In doing so, I do not turn illness into an accusation: a congenital or chronic disease by itself proves neither a person’s guilt nor his conscious choice.
